The object of our society is to spread the word about the beautiful tropical HIBISCUS
We have meetings in September, October, November, January, February, March and April on the second Sunday of the month. The meetings are held at at 1:30 PM at the Fort Myers-Lee County Garden Council building located at 2166 Virginia Ave. Fort Myers, FL.
We provide education and advice on PLANTING, FERTILIZING, PRUNING, PROPAGATING, HYBRIDIZING, and CONTROLLING PESTS. There are several door prizes at every meeting.
A festive Holiday Party is held in December, and we have a pot luck picnic in May. Our BIG 72nd Annual Hibiscus Show and Sale will be held on March 1, 2025 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2439 McGregor Boulevard, Fort Myers, from 1 PM – 4 PM. Admission and parking are free.
Members receive The Seed Pod, the AHS quarterly magazine and the Hendry Herald, our award winning monthly newsletter which is filled with interesting articles and good advice on growing hibiscus.
We are a fun and friendly group and welcome new members! Plan to attend one of our meetings to learn more about our group and the beautiful hibiscus!
