The first meeting of the new year was held on Sunday, January 12th at the Fort Myers/Lee County Garden Council Building. The mini show attracted a number of blooms in spite of the recent cold weather. Our amateur participation continues to be strong! Beth provided an excellent presentation on Bloom Characteristics; this information is quite helpful not only for exhibitors but for those members who hybridize blooms and want to register them on the IHS site. The Pesticide of the Month was Neem Oil, and Beth demonstrated how to treat scale on your plants with this oil.
